Zařízení : měkké písčité dno,volný prostor,plovoucí rostliny a samostatná nádrž
Voda : teplota vody - 23-25 °C
Potrava : nitěnky,larvy komárů a pakomárů,žížaly,suché krmivo,rybí maso

Čeleď - Polypteridae (bichirovití)
POLYPTERUS PALMAS (bichir šedý)
Dravá ryba,napadající i příslušníky vlastního druhu.Dlouhověká,pomalu rostoucí.Dorůstá délky asi 30 cm.
Původ : Afrika (Sierra Leone,Libérie,Kongo)
Znaky : žádné zřetelné vnější rozdíly mezi pohlavími.Úspěšný odchov je známý.
Zařízení : úkryty a jeskyňky z kamenů a kořenů,potřebují volný prostor
Voda : teplota vody - 22-28 °C
Potrava : nitěnky,larvy komárů a pakomárů,mouchy,žížaly,maso,žáby,ryby
ERPETOICHTHYS CALABARICUS (bichirek kalabarský)
Zajímavá ryba,kterou můžeme chovat jen společně s většími rybami.Je dlouhověká,dorůstá délky až 90 cm.Dává přednost blízkosti dna.Žije skrytě,aktivní je v noci.
Původ : Afrika ( delta Nigeru,Kamerun)
Znaky : Sameček-12 až 14,samička-9 až 12 paprsků v řitní ploutvi.Úspěšný odchov dosud neznámý.
Zařízení : Velké nádrže s úkryty z kořenů a kamenů při dně. " DOBŘE ZAKRÝT! " Společná nádrž s velkými rybami. " LOVÍ NEONKY! "
Voda : taplota vody - 22-28 °C
Potrava : nitěnky,larvy komárů a pakomárů,žížaly,maso,žáby,mouční červi,suché krmivo

Čeleď - Pantodontidae (motýlkovcovití)
PANTODON BUCHHOLZI (motýlkovec africký)
Ryba žijící u hladiny,pokojná a dlouhověká.Dorůstá délky až 15cm.
Původ : Afrika (Niger,Kamerun a Kongo)
Znaky : Sameček má prodlouženou ocasní ploutev.Odchov je možný,odchov mláďat obtížný.
Zařízení : velkolisté rostliny,dosahující až k vodní hladině.Plovoucí rostliny.Společenská nádrž
Voda : 23-30°C,až 10°dGH,přísada rašelinného výluhu.
Potrava : larvy komárů a pakomárů,mouchy,octomilky(Drosophila),švábi,cvrčci,larvy potemníka,ryby,suché krmivo.

Čeleď - Umbridae (blatňákovití)
UMBRA LIMI (blatňák americký)
Klidná ryby žijící v hejnu,dává přednost spodním vrstvám vody.Dorůstá délky asi 15cm.
Původ : Severní Amerika (Georgia,Nová Anglie)
Znaky : Samičky jsou větší.Odchov je možný a samička hlídá snůšku.
Zařízení : Jemnolisté rostlinky v houštinách,volný prostor pro plavání.Společenská nádrž.
Voda : 17-22°C,až 10°dGH,mírně kyselá,přísada rašelinného výluhu.
Potrava : nitěnky,perloočky,larvy komárů a pakomárů,suché krmivo.
Řád - Ostariophysi
Podřád - Cyprinoidea (kaprotvaré)
Čeleď - Characidae (američtí trnobřichovití,tetry)
EXODON PARADOXUS (tetra dvouskvrnná)
Překrásná hejnová ryba - ale velmi agresivní !!! ,dorůstá délky až 15cm.
Původ : Jižní Amerika (Guyana,povodí řek Rio Branco a Rupununi).
Znnaky : tuková ploutvička,Samičky jsou v době tření tlustší.Odchov je možný.
Zařízení : Mnoho volného prostoru s možnostmi úkrytu pro pronásledované ryby.Samostatná nádrž nebo ve společnosti se sumci a mřenkami.
Voda : 23-28°C,až 10°dGH.Přísada rašelinného výluhu.
Potrava : nitěnky,perloočky,buchanky,larvy komárů a pakomárů,suché krmivo,vodní hmyz,ryby a rybí šupiny,hlávkový salát.
